NASA's next lunar mission LADEE or Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer is going to be launched from the Wallops Flight Facility early this Saturday, September 7 at 3:27 GMT.
You can watch the event live on space.com here or on NASA TV here
LADEE is a 383 kg probe that will be analyzing the lunar atmosphere and the dust particles that might be in the atmosphere. It will also be testing a different system for communications, namely laser instead of radio.
It will be launched on a Orbital Sciences Miontaur V rocket, which will be the rocket's maiden flight.
Because of LADEE's complex orbit, it will reach the moon 25 days after the launch.
